Problem with client login to repository

I am having a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when trying to connect from either the client or the IDE.

I am able to log into the vaultservice web interface without any problems.

Below is the most recent sgvault logs. (note: the failed logins are me trying other possible passwords, but my password does work for the vaultservice.) Also, it seems to log me in and then log me out three minutes later.

At what point do you get that error? By that, I mean is it before connecting to the repository or after?

Does anyone else connect to the same repository, and do they have any problems?

The login/logout thing isn't anything to worry about.

I receive the error when I'm trying to access the repository in the Vault Client. In the .NET IDE, I receive it after I am prompted to login.

The only information I can offer is the last time I used vault (Friday, I live in New Orleans and we just had Mardi Gras), your support team (Linda) and I had just fixed a problem where my network password had changed and I needed to change the impersonation settings. I checked that in the web.config today and everything was the same.

One more piece of information I just discovered:

In the .net IDE, when I go to File>Open From Source Control, I receive a Visual Studio Error (a pop-up box):

SourceGearLLC.VaultVsipClient.VsipUtility+AssertionFailedException

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've changed the logging mode to Debug. There seems to be some kind of SQL login failed, but it doesn't make any sense to me. Here is the log generated for two separate login attempts:

I would wonder if some old information isn't in the cache. Try first clearing your Client Side Cache. You will probably want to keep cachemember_workingfolderassignments, but the rest can be removed or renamed (including _sgvault) so that Vault rebuilds those pieces.

Let me know the results after that.

Our posts got crossed. Still clear your client cache first.

Login failed: FailInvalidPassword =user password, not SQL password.

I do see things in what you posted though that also indicate a .NET problem. You could uninstall and reinstall your 2.0 .NET framework by using the follow commands in the command prompt after changing directories to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\framework\v2.0.50726:
