Specified Cast is not Valid when connecting
SourceGear Vault Error:
Server was unable to process request --> Specified Cast is not valid.
We get this message out of nowhere when trying to connect when we are in Visual Studio 2003. Any ideas? We bumped the server, but no luck. Need access asap as a project deadline is today.

authentication
this is actually an issue with us logging in. I cannot even login as admin on the server. Use a good password, then use a bad password, and you get the same error.

Actually, this server is really just used for backups, and source control, so our development machines are completely separate servers. Plus, the network admin says nothing has changed at all, configuration wise, on this machine.
Oh, we cant login to the GUI via teh server or our local machines, this error persists when trying to login from teh client tools as well.

Logs did it
Well, I didn't think to look for this log file, and it spells out the real issue quite clearly. We had no more room in our primary filegroup on our sql server installation. Needless to say, I did a dbcc shrinkfile on it immediately and its now working. The error thrown threw me off course there
Thanks for your help!

Vault Version 4.0.6.15954
Suddenly Vault Client respond with various error messages, such as Invalid Cast, login fail, No Permission, etc. I have attached the log file. Prior to this, i am performing obliteration. Will this cause a problem? Is there any setting i have missed out?

jkp: Also, if your log file was huge, that could be causing this. It looks like you posted to the LDF is Enormous thread. If you need help with that part, you can always send an email to support at sourcegear.com as well.
The problem still persist. Decided to create a new entry at http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?p=38082
