Server Application Unavailable

Post by LyndaPostal » Wed Jan 02, 2008 4:06 pm

I've just installed Fortress 1.0.6.15954 ... and I login to eFolkMusic VaultService

and go to my repository. I want to configure Shadow Folders so when I upload changes, they are automatically reflected in my website. when I click on 'Shadow Folders' I get:
Error
Client found response content type of 'text/html', but expected 'text/xml'. The request failed with the error message: --
Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request.

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific request failure can be found in the application event log of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.

--.

what did I do wrong?

Is there any error in the Event Viewer?

Any error in the Vault Server log? It's sgvault.log in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine.

what version of the .Net runtime is this app using?

Post by LyndaPostal » Wed Jan 02, 2008 4:59 pm

it's running under v2.0.50727 according to the ASP.NET tab in the properties dialog ... (could that be the problem??)

I sent you an email through out Help system regarding changing the URL in the plugin table -- did you try that?

Or you could try deleting and recreating the Shadow Folder virtual directory in IIS. Perhaps it's pointing to the wrong spot.
