Time outs/disconnects

Post by arden_dan » Wed May 26, 2004 2:34 am

Some of our users have reported being disconnected when leaving SV idle for a while. Haven't yet been able to identify any pattern.

The only thing that I can see is "System Started" messages in sgvault.log.
These seem to occur at random times throughout the day, although they don't coincide with user activity, they are always after a period of inactivity. We have a remote user in NZ who is greatly affected by this, since he is the only user connected for a large part of his working day.

The timeout value is set to the 4320 default.

This occurred using 2.0.2 initially, we recently upgraded to 2.0.3 but the problem persists.

Thanks in advance.

2.0.3 Server running on Win 2003 Standard, SQL Server 2000
2.0.3 GUI Clients running XP SP1

Dan,

You should check your IIS recycling and idle settings. See this KB article.
