Server and Client in an Inconsistant State

Post by timomta » Tue May 25, 2004 9:31 am

Hello, we're working with Vault 2.0.3. When I bring up the Vault client for the admin account, it shows that there are many files checked out in the pending change set. If I select all the files and click commit or undo, they remain listed in the Pending Change Set list -- I can't do anything with them.

If I bring up the Admin tool and hit the undo checkout tab for the repository, it shows no files checked out to the admin user.

So the client shows files checked out that it cannot do anything with, and the admin tool doesn't.

Somehow, our Vault DB got into some inconsistant state. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Are the items checked out and edited, or are they unmodified?

If you close the Vault client and log in again, do the items still appear in the pending change set?

Is there any error in the messages tab when you try to commit or undo?

If not, it would be helpful to see your sgvault.log file from your %windir%\temp\sgvault folder. Try committing again and send me a copy of the log.

They are modified.

Yes, logging in and out shows the same Pending Change Set.

Neither commit or undo puts a message in the messages tab.

I changed logging to debug via the admin tool and restarted IIS. You can see this happen at the 5/25/2004 1:13:47 PM log entry. The log has been emailed to you.
