I am currently evaluating Vault as an alternative to VSS and was wondering if one of my pet-peeves about VSS would be solved by switching over.
My issue is with the inability to remove a label from a file or folder. We use labels to stamp all of the files in the project whenever we do a release of our software to customers. However, I always worry that I will mispell something in the label, or not notice a file that is still checked out, or for some reason have a last minute tweak that has to be included in that version after we assumed we were done with it. It seems that VSS treats labels as permanent and irreversible. Is there a way in vault to "fix" or remove a label if it is accidentally or incorrectly applied?

You can delete or rename a label, or you can use label promotion to alter the contents.

Thanks. I finally found it on the "Show Labels..." menu option. I was in the wrong screen. This is cool. Probably worth the upgrade from sourcesafe for this alone.
