Get Latest in 4.0.5b does not get newly added files

I am using Vault 4.0.5b.

The VS2005 plug-in does not retrieve newly added files and folders when using the Get Latest in VS2005 Solution Explorer.

Scenario:

Developer A – Adds new folder and files to VS2005 file base web project using VS2005 plug-in

Developer A – Checks new folder and files into SourceGear using VS2005 plug-in.

Developer B – Right click on the root of the file based web project where the new folder and files were just added and choose “Get Latest”.

Developer B – New folder and files do not appear in VS2005 file based web project nor do they exist in the local working folder.

Please advise...

If you open the Vault GUI, do you see those files there?

How many files are being added? If it's a large add, then you might need a few minutes before they are available for download.

EDIT: Try the released version of 4.0.5 instead of the beta. There is a fix on Gets listed in the release notes: http://www.sourcegear.com/vault/releases/4.0.5.html.

The upgrade to the v4.0.5 did not fix the problem.

Note: this is a problem using the VS plug-in. When using the client, it works as expected.

If this is a web SITE project (as opposed to a web application or web service project) this is a known issue that will be fixed.

Yes, it is a file based web project.

Unfortunately this won't make 4.0.6, as that code is frozen for release at this point. It will be in the next release to ship, whether that's 4.0.7 or 4.1 Beta 2, neither of which have a ship date at this time. I apologize for the inconvenience.
