Comments in grids

I would be nice, don't you think, if those grids that displayed comments actually wrapped them at a sensible length rather than forcing the user to scroll back and forth to read 'em

Can you describe for me where you see that or post a screenshot? I checked a few areas with a long comment and am not seeing that yet.

Show history for a folder (view history by version).

Show history for an item (long change set comment).

Show history for an item, double-click grid item for version details, long item comment in "files in change set grid"

As an addendum, it doesn't matter how big you make the comments column, the comments are truncated at ~ 260 characters.

This appears to be true for all grids that display comments.

Try hovering over a comment. It's supposed to pop up a yellow window that shows the entire comment. Will that work as well for you?

Also, check in the web client. In recent activity it will show entire comments.

It does flash up and then disappear again; total time on screen < 1 sec.

Even if it did work it's a bit of a long way from the ideal of having the data wrap in the grid.

And it appears (from the little I can see) that there is no preservation of the line breaks I entered (but it's on screen for so short a period it's difficult for me to be certain).
