Hi,
I would like to work with the Vault client only and completely disable the plugin in Visual Studio 2005.
The problem is that I don't want to remove the binding information from the solution file because there are other users that use the plug in.
If I turn off source control from Visual Studio and then get the latest, VS 2005 will detect the bindings and start complaining that it has found binding information, it will give me a choice whether to remove binding completely or to rebind the app.
I don't want to remove the binding because when I check the solution file back in, that will cause problems for other users who require binding.
Is there a way for all the binding information to be kept but have Visual Studio completely ignore all this and behave as if Source Control does not exist?
I know this is more of a VS 2005 question rather than a vault question but I was hoping that someone on here may know the answer.
Thanks
Mark

Do you have it set to use the VS 2005 client (VSIP) or the VS 2003 compatible client (MCSCCI)?
If you are using MCSCCI, then you can unbind on your local machine with no worries and it won't affect anyone else.
If you are using VSIP, you can work offline, which is done via the change bindings dialog. (File -> Change Vault Bindings -> and uncheck the checkbox)

Hello
I use VS2005 and vault 3.1.9.3798.
I don't know if I use VSIP or MCSCCI.
How can I know that ?
The menu "File -> Change Vault Bindings" is in Vault GUI client or in VS2005 or in other place ?
Thanks for advance...
