v.: 4.0.4.15848 (client and server)
I found a file marked as checked out by me (serge - Exclusive). I wanted to either check it in or undo check-out. These items on the context menu are disabled!
OTOH, Check out is enabled. I tried it and the Vault Client gives this message: "You have the following files checked out to other locations. Continue?" The list says $/.../blah - pcsergehome/home. (pcsergehome is indeed my computer but what is /home?).
If I click Yes, it fails: Another user has the file checked-out. Wait, I'm the only user!?
I checked that I'm connected as serge. Looks OK.
What happens? How can I undo check out on this file?
TIA,
Check-in and Undo check ou are disabled

Did your machine name, work group name s or domain name change after the checkout? Did you possibly check out the file while joined to a network, and you are now remote?
The Vault client uses user, machine, domain or workgroup, and repository path as a unique string to determine if a file is checked out. If one of those names change, the Vault client thinks the file is located elsewhere. You can see these items by displaying the columns from
One thing you could do is make a backup of the file, undo your lock on the file from Vault Admin, and then re-try the lock.

Solved
Jeff, Thanks for your help.
I didn't change any of these settings.
I went to the Web Admin/Undo check out page. The weird thing is that the file appeared in the list but under a slightly different $/... path !? Weird since it's a project that I haven't modified in 2 years and I've been working with Vault for... 1 month!
I did an undo checkout on it and it solved the problem.
This list also contained a few files that do not appear in the Vault client (they are .vspscc files). I also made an undo checkout on these.
Thanks again.
