Missing Visual Studio 2005 Enviroment Options

Post by mTab » Wed Oct 24, 2007 9:49 am

I recently upgraded to Vault v4.0.5b and my Visual Studio 2005 setting to prompt me before check out is now turned off. When I went to turn it back on via VS2005 Tools --> Options, the config section is missing. It was located in the Options Tree under "Source Control" in a sub tree item named "Environment" but Environment not longer exists.

Please Advise...

That option isn't in the 4.x version I believe. We have it scheduled for a future release.

It was in 3.5.2 so you are saying that you eliminated that option but are now planning on putting it back in? Any idea of a timeline for the "future release"?

mTab:

The option wasn't removed. You're using a different Visual Studio plugin.

You'll want to switch Visual Studio 2005 to use the Vault MSSCCI based "VS 2003 Compatible" based client. See Visual Studio IDE Clients (Vault 4.x/Fortress 1.x) for more information.
