Serious Errors

Post by BradleyUffner » Tue Oct 16, 2007 7:50 pm

We are currently using vault 4.0.4. Everything was working perfectly today, until I tried to check in a file at the end of the day. I received an error that the connection to the server was lost. I closed visual studio and reopened it. At this point vault threw up about 30 error dialogs before visual studio stopped responding and needed to be closed. The error was a standard "could not connect to the server" type error. I restarted my computer and tried again with the exact same results. I tried then tried the stand alone client. After picking the default repository I was presented with "You do not have rights in the selected repository" error. Which is wrong, my account has full admin access within vault, and repository security is not enabled.

I then tried to open the vault admin web page, which seemed to be working OK, until I tried to browse the default repository from the web interface. When I do that I receive a plain error message of "Error in the application. " with no details. I can open other repositories just fine through the web interface.

This is a copy of vaults log file trying to view the default repository from the web client.:

We are currently totally unable to access this repository. I have tried restarting the server, restarting IIS, and clearing temp and cache files, but nothing seems to fix the problem.

Something is preventing the tree from being built. Email support at sourcegear.com ATTN Linda and we'll do further troubleshooting offline.

This user restored a backup of his database. I see your other post here, http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=21853, and will be responding there.
