Hello,
I want to try something in Vault but I am not sure exactly how to do this it, here is my situation:
I have created a folder called Frontend, this folder is the starting point for all our projects. It has out base JavaScript library and the folder structure in it.
I want developers to copy that folder down into their projects, when they start them and build off of that. This directory structure would never be saved back to the Frontend folder, its really just a one way copy. Once they started working on their project they would then create a new folder in vault and save everything up to that.
I figured I could do something with branching, but with branching we run the risk of someone merging the branches. Maybe, if there is a way to branch, then break the branch off, that would be what I need, I just don't know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Branching or something else?

I'm not sure that you'd need to branch. The users just need these files to create new projects, right? There's no particular association after this from one project to the next?
If that's the case, they could do a get latest, then build their project, and add the finished project as a new project with the "Add Files/Folders" command.
