Local server and client connection

How can i connect to local machine server by using local machine client. when i am trying to connect to local sytem server to local sytem client it is giving this error.

Looks like the error message didn't make it into this post. Are you getting an "unable to connect to server" error?

Check to see that the SOS Server service is running. Try connecting with "localhost."

Verify that the port you're using for the SOS Server isn't being used by another application on the SOS Server machine.

Also verify that a copy of the VSS Client is installed on your SOS Server machine.

And, one more idea -- if the VSS database is on another machine, verify that the account used by the SOS Server Service has access to the directory where the database resides. This means using a domain account.

If these suggestion don't help, please post the full error message and also post or email me a copy of the log.txt file from the SOS Server directory.
