Vault 2.0.3: Repository deletion DB space lost?

Post by gmagana » Fri May 14, 2004 1:37 pm

One of the bug fixes in version 2.0.3 caught my eye: More database space is reclaimed on repository deletion. I created, added files, then deleted a repository under version 2. The database did not shrink at all when I deleted the repository.

Now that I have version 2.0.3, is there a way of reclaiming that space that was not relcaimed when I deleted the first repository?

There is a more elegant way, but for now, I can offer you work around because it is simple, and can be done quickly.

Create a dummy repository, and turn around to delete it. This will reclaim ALL space.

Ahh thank you! Being a perfectionist, not getting that space back always bothered me, but it was only 10MB, not enough to raise a fuss about.

Thanks!
