Can SVN can coexist with Vault?

Post by Megistal » Tue Sep 25, 2007 8:43 am

Hi

The project need to go from one source control (Vault) to another source control (SVN) often.

Can vault coexist with SVN so we can commit and update the project on both source control? (Of course committing and updating will be done separately using both product command)

Thank you

It's not something we've tested, so we don't know if it would work or not.

It might be possible to checkout files from Vault, edit them, checkout the same files from SVN and checkin the modified files.

However, you'd probably run into problems if Vault and SVN used the same working directories.

Also, if you're using IDE integration there would be issues of projects being bound to a particular source control provider.
