Protecting a label

Is there any way to prevent a label from being deleted accidently by a user? Say when the admin label a folder, not even the user who has write access to that folder can delete the label.

What I am trying to achieve is to capture the source code of a folder daily that no one other than the admin can alter. Labeling is an easy way but it does not seem to offer much protection.

There isn't currently, but I could take a feature request on that.
