SOS operations not being logged in SS Journal file

Hi all,

We've recently started to use the Journal option in SS (with some bolt on service that notifies us of changes to particular files) and it appears that none of the SOS operations are being logged in the journal file. Anyone know if this is a known issue, or, more probable, a configuration issue on my part?
I'm using:

SOS Classic 3.5.2
SS 6.0c

SOS talks to VSS through the VSS Automation Component, whereas the VSS client has a direct link. The two work very differently.

I am checking to see if the journal logs things that come through the automation component. I haven't found out yet, but that's the first thing to find out.
