Specify username, password and server

Is it possible to specify my login credentials for the GUI perhaps via the command line or shortcut so I don't need to provide them each time and would also help with multiple repositories since it only maintains one set of settings (the most recent).

In the GUI, there is the Profile area where you can create a profile that is selected, and you can have it set to default to a particular repository. Would that cover what you need?
