I have just installed the commandline client on RedHat EL 4. I'm getting a large project out of an SOS repository and am getting quite a few errors of the form
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid next size (fast): 0x0946c810 ***
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x08e259e8 ***
*** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x092f0350 ***
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x096bff38 ***
Not all errors though - most of the files are being successfully retreived I think it's just the big ones that are failing.
Looks like a bug in the client to me. Is it known? Is there a workround? Is there a fix due out soon?
Thanks.

I hadn't seen this, so I'll have to ask more questions.
Had you compiled your own version for Red Hat or had you installed the Fedora version? I didn't think we had anything pre-compiled for Red Hat.
Can you tell me exactly what version of SOS you loaded as well?

I forceably installed the Fedora version. The GUI version wasn't installed because the system doesn't have cairo installed. I also had to find a readLine.so.5 since only readLine.so.4 is installed.
Can I get the source code for soscmd? If so I'd quite happily build it here and send you the result.
