Could not detect the file type in the supplied stream.

Version 3.5.2

I'm getting the following error message when logging into Vault.

The working folder state information for C:\VPME9Apps_DLM\AIM\data is incompatible with this version of Vault. Please choose a different working folder path. The specific compatibility exception was: Could not detect the file type in the supplied stream.

The error message box comes up with an OK button on it and no matter how many times I click it it just keeps coming back up.

Sounds like it could be a cache issue.

You can try this. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\SourceGear\Vault_1\Client\{repository-guid}\{vaultuser}\. Under there you will have the cache data. More information on that data can be found here: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=6. You can clear all the data out under there, but I would recommend keeping CacheMember_WorkingFolderAssignments so that you don't have to go and set all your working folders again.

When you open Vault next, it will rebuild the cache. You will have a status of missing on your files, but a Get with no overwrite should clear that out and set the correct status.
