When a folder is selected in the treeview it would be nice to get a file count in the statusbar, similar to how explorer works. Total size might be nice, but which to show, local or remote?
I store a number of 3rd party .net dlls. It would be nice if there was a way, from within vault, even if just in the properties windows, to see the metadata associated with the DLL like version, author, etc. Mainly version, though.
In the listview it would be nice to have the icons represent the filetype. Do not even need to get them from windows, just icons for the 20 or so most common file types would help a bit. .cs, .cpp, .c, .h, .vbs., .html, etc.
Drag and drop of files from explorer into the listview would be a nice way to add files instead of having to inititate through the add dialog.
Minor UI Problem:
(XP sp1, default theme/colors)
Occasionally in the listview an item will 'disappear'. Just a blank where the text of the filename should be. Selecting the item makes the text display again.

This is something that a lot of people have reported, and has a high priority for usDrag and drop of files from explorer into the listview would be a nice way to add files instead of having to inititate through the add dialog.
I'll add this to the list - does this generally display badly, or is it limited to certain GUI elements in Vault?Minor UI Problem:

This is a .Net problem that we don't have much control over, but it is good to know how many people are seeing it.Occasionally in the listview an item will 'disappear'. Just a blank where the text of the filename should be. Selecting the item makes the text display again.
Thanks for the reports,

Ah, sorry for the confusing formatting. That was just refering to the item below about the listview.(XP sp1, default theme/colors)

I would also very much appreciate drag-n-drop support, especially for moving files within Vault (which is done very painstakingly now). Also, for adding new files to the repository, this is almost a necessity.dan wrote:This is something that a lot of people have reported, and has a high priority for usDrag and drop of files from explorer into the listview would be a nice way to add files instead of having to inititate through the add dialog.
