Undo Checkout deletes but doesn't reload file

I use Vault 1.2.2(740) and Visual Studio.NET 2003

When I attempt to undo a checkout from within the VS.NET IDE, the file is deleted but not reloaded from the server.

If the file is currently open in the IDE I get the error message

Some reload or shell operations were canceled or caused errors. You should close and reopen the solution before making further changes.

If the file is not open, however I get no error message. But when I try to open the file it's not there, resulting in the generic error

The item 'foobar.cs' does not exist in the project directory. It may have been moved, renamed or deleted.

Does this work the same way in Vault's GUI client? (When you uncheckout the file, it is deleted?)

When you undo the checkout in the GUI client, you have the choice to delete, revert, or leave the file. The last thing you chose in the GUI client will happen in the IDE too, which is a known bug in 1.2.
