400: Bad Request when trying to create a shadow folder
I guess the subject really says it all. I'm trying to create a shadow folder for a project we have in Vault. When I click the "Add" button, it tells me "The request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad Request."
I tried searching the forums for information but didn't find anything.
Any ideas? The "About" button on the Administration web page indicates it's version 4.0.1.15780.

Ok, I upgraded the Vault server and my client to 4.0.4, and now I have a different problem: I can't even get to the Shadow Folders page! When I try, I get the following message:
The Shadow Folder Service was unable to connect to the Vault server. Please enter the login to be used by the Shadow Folder Service.
User "tommyg" posted this same problem in http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?p=34762. However, unlike him, I chose to use the machine account to run the vault service. The machine account being used is "Network Service". I double checked the folder permissions. Network Service has Full Control on both the VaultService and VaultShadowFolder folders. I double checked the VaultAppPool in IIS, and it is indeed set to run as Network Service.
What might I be missing?

Hi there Ian,
I'm still trying to get the Shadow folders working fully ... somehow I was able to get 1 shadow folder up and going, but haven't gotten any further than that.
I found that the only way I was able to get past the error was to edit the web.config in the VaultShadowFolder and remove the line
<b><identity impersonate="true" userName="xxx" password="xxx" /><b>
Once I did this, I was able to get in and create the folder, then I put the line back in.
Maybe give this a try?
Hope it helps
Cheers

I think seeing some logs or the log errors here will help. I would like to see the same time frames from a Vault Server Log and a Shadow Folder Log. You can either upload those here or zip them up and send them to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this thread and which user you are.
