Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.

Post by mis@crystalengineeringnet » Wed Aug 15, 2007 11:44 am

Hi, I'm recieving this error "Object Reference not set to an instance of an object." whenever I checkout or checkin files in the Vault client and from Visual Studio as well. Also, upon checking out the files, they are remaining "Read Only". I'm using Vault version 4.0.4 (15848)and am running Windows Vista.

Any light you can shed on this situation would be much appreciated. Thank you.

The most helpful thing that you could do is to turn on Vault client logging and send us the log file where you get the error.

Thanks for helping us track this down.

Here is the log file. All I did was fire up vault, and then check out and undo a checkout and sure enough the errors showed up.

You should be able to start up again if you delete your client cache file for CacheMember_CheckOutList.
