When I try to obliterate one project that was just a test at branching and merging techniques (obviously we dont ever need it again) it comes back and says
"An error occurred processing the request:
Unable to Obliterate item: $/develoment/B System 2
All branches of an item must be obliterated before the item itself can be obliterated. It is possible that some of the branched items have been deleted, but not obliterated. You must obliterate all branches before you can obliterate this item. This item has branches at:
"
but then it lists nothing! no clue where to go what to do... nothing in the branches at list.. just blank space... any ideas on how to fix this? thanks!
Can't obliterate...

What version of Vault are you using?
One thing you can do is undelete it and then check the history for branches. Select the development folder, right click, select properties. Deleted items are in one of the tabs under properties. Undelete that item.
Then select that item and perform a view history, but under the actions tab, check only the branch action.
