Vault w/ Cruise Control - 'logFilePath' does not exist

Post by AK@HealthDialog » Mon Jul 30, 2007 8:56 am

I'm running into an issue where Cruise Control is causing Vault Client to throw event error log messages twice a minute. It's really becoming an issue, as I'm getting about 3000K event log notices a day .

I found similar similar complaints on the server side, but not on the client ( http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic ... 3d0ce58f5a ).

It appears that the event log issue is a bug in version 3.1.5, but I want the official word from SourceGear. Also, if there is a workaround that would be great too.

I'm on Client Version 3.1.5 (3546)

The Event log error is:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Vault Client Simple Logger
Event Category: None
Event ID: 0
Date: 7/30/2007
Time: 10:27:51 AM
User: N/A
Computer: MHTQAAPP07
Description:
Error writing startup string to log file . Exception was: The key 'logFilePath' does not exist in the appSettings configuration section.

Thanks in advance!

Did you try the suggestion made in the post you referenced?

Also, if you wish, you can upgrade from where you are at to 3.1.9 with no license change needed. That should take care of the issue as well.

Thanks Beth,

Upgrading to 3.1.9 seemed to do the trick!
