I beleive the following issue is because I am currently running as a single user (no licence key) but none the less the message is "odd"
If I click "Repository access" or "Folder Security" for my repository I get "Error in the Application" as a message on the web page. There's no suggestion on why, or what to do about it. No way to get back to the main view, except by the back button of the browser.
Not a big issue, but thought you should know.
and now for the "rant" which I admit doesn't belong in a support forum, but I didn't see a rant forum anywhere.
I have to say that a browser based admin tool is a step in the wrong direction. I don't see a compelling reason for using such a UI over a traditional model. Was it that much easier for you to develop and maintain? what about a click-once windows app, if you're concerned about deployment issues?
If you're taking votes, please bring back a proper Windows admin tool (I would say however that the tabbed UI that the original admin tool used also left a lot to be desired. What other server admin tools have you seen that follow such a model? I can't think of any.
Hey now that MS is opening up the VS shell, maybe you could leverage that ala SQL Management studio.
minor web admin "bug" --- and a bit of a rant.

To be honest, with adding the Fortress administration capabilities, as well as adding the ability to have repository admins (users who can change a specific repositories settings, but not global settings), the old tab based UI would have had to be scrapped completely.
Since we had to rewrite it, we decided it would be best to put it in a web browser, since it would then be cross-platform. There have been several reports of people being dissatisfied with the web based admin, but few concrete reasons why. We want to make it better, so please give us suggestions.
As for the bug report, we've never seen this, and would like to track it down. Do you get anything logged in your Vault server log file?
