A database error has occured (FailDBTransaction)

Post by ToddKurland » Fri Jun 29, 2007 4:54 am

Hi,

I have never had a problem with Vault til this morning when I got this message. I get it from the client as well as the IDE (VS2005).

"A database error has occured (FailDBTransaction)"

It doesn't show up anywhere on google or the Vault forums.

Everything looks find on the Database, but I can't get into it from Vault.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Todd

We got your email as well, so I'll respond off-line. First we need to take a look at your Vault Server log.

Thanks.

Somehow this got resolved. I did a 'shrink' on the database, then tried to open in VS2005; that failed again.

I had opened the Client, which had the same error, so...

I closed VS2005 and the Client. Then opened the client, and was able to connect.

I then opened VS2005 and that worked as well.

I might add that it reconciled all the files I had edited while disconnected beautifully. You guys are good!! I love this product!!

Thanks for the quick feedback as well. I'll followup on email.

Thanks, Todd
