Visual Studio 2005 Client crashing

Can anybody help, i'm getting a dialog box with
SourceGearLLC.VaultVsipClient.VsipUtility+AssertionFailedException
after adding a project to Vaul and selecting the respository

Server and client fresh install version 4.0.1.15780. Previous version 3.5 and version 4 (Which was much worse and caused me to abandon the whole source control for a bit)

OS Vista Business 32bit

Have not been able to use source control ever since upgrading from v3.5 so any help would be very much welcome

Sorry you've run into this. We've fixed the bug, but haven't released it. So you have 3 options:

1. Wait for 4.0.2
2. Run the 2003 compatible client (indefinitely or while waiting for 4.0.2)
3. Run a pre-release build of 4.0.2.

Whats the time frame for the next release hours/days/months/years ?

EDIT: Because a number of people are having this problem, we've pushed back some less critical things and upgraded 4.0.2 from "weeks" to "days".
