Labeling a folder

Post by Richard_AU » Tue Jun 26, 2007 10:16 pm

Hello,

I want to "bookmark" my production folder each day at the end of the day so that if I need to rollback I will have a "bookmark" showing me that point in time that I need.

My thoughts were to use labels as bookmarks trouble is that the content of the folder then inherits that label and so I end up with a lot of labels and comments on each of the objects in my production folder.

Is there any way I can achieve this "bookmarking" without having each and every objects in my folder inheriting the folder's label/comment?

Thanks,
Richard

I'm assuming you are seeing all of those in History which you don't have to view recursively. You can just view the History of the folders themselves or not view labels recursively.

Currently there isn't a way to do what you suggest that I'm aware of. Users use the labels in different ways. That includes making changes to a label, which means they need to be able to review what files have that label.

I think maybe a different way of viewing might help here?
