I am trying to branch a project in Vault.
This seems to take a long time (5 minutes or more).
In the message pane, Vault displays "Beginning Transaction"
Then I get an error:
(project name) caused the transaction to fail. A database error has occurred (FailDBFault)
Transaction Failed.
I so I know that there was some db error, but I don't know what it is.
Things that I know to check:
Transaction log space available (set to autoexpand, so no problem)
DB space available (also autoexpand, no problem)
Disk space available (plenty).
What else could be causing this?
Branch operation fails

Could you check your Vault Server Log for around the time that the branch occurred? You can then either post it here or zip it and send it to support at sourcegear.com (attn:Beth) with a link to this forum post.

Beth:
I sent you a log. This log was created with the quiet logging option. If you need more information, let me know. However, I am hesitant to change the log option --
That will require that I stop Vault, which will interrupt a number of developers
Also, I am hesitant to perform the branch again. The last time I tried (before sending the original post) No one was able to check in or check out for about 20 minutes -- even people who were not working with the folders that were being branched.
