Memory Leak in 4.0.1?

Post by neal007 » Sun Jun 17, 2007 7:15 am

Anybody else seeing a huge memory leak in VS.NET 2005 after installing 4.0.1? Ever since installing it, memory in VS.NET is running upwards of 600 MB (task manager, process for devenv) and I get black icons in the Solution Explorer, etc. This didn't happen until after installing 4.0.1.

We'll investigate. Is this after VS.NET is open for a while -- after you do certain operations, or open a large project?

I am using VS.NET for a while, sure, solution has 13 projects, 3 are web services, 1 is a WindowsApp, rest are Class Libraries.
