Merge Question

If I am conducting a merge from Visual Source Safe to Vault and for some reason one of my developers has a file checked out, will the file come over to Vault? Or will Vault overlook the file and not bring it over at all since its checked out.

By "merge" do you mean that you are importing a VSS database into Vault?

Files that are checked out in VSS will still be imported into Vault. Of course any changes that exist in users' working directories will not be added, so users may want to checkin any important changes.

When the files (checked out in VSS) are imported into Vault they will not be considered checked out in Vault.
