It looks like some of the information about this problem is missing. Did you have screenshots? If so they were not attached to this posting.

OK I see the screenshots now.

Could you describe what the problem is? It looks like you are having a problem accessing source control in Visual Studio.

What version of Visual studio are you using?

What are you trying to do when you get these errors? Are you converting a project from Visual Studio 2003 to Visual Studio 2005?

files seem to be missing

we are not doing any conversions etc just looking to connect to the project.

We have narrowed it down to this issue

It seems that when we "get latest" on the project files in sourceoffsite client it pulls the project folder and files but the .ssc machine generated files are missing when we try and open it up in visual studio, which then gives us these errors

If you add a project to Source0ffSite/VSS with the GUI client, the proper source control bindings will not be created.

In order for the bindings and the source control files (.SCC) to be created, you must add the project using Visual Studio. You would use the command: file->source control->add solution to source control. Once the project is under source control, the next person who opens it would do so through the Visual Studio command file->source control->open from source control.

You may be able to create bindings with the existing project by opening the project in Visual Studio and then using the file-> source control->change source control command. This will allow you to bind the files on your local disk to their proper location in the project tree.
