recover deleted file from source off site

Recently I deleted a file from SOS. The file I deleted was important as it had all the history changes. When I deleted it I didn't click the check box for delete premenantly. Is there any way I can get that old file back?

using SOS 4.2

I'm in trouble without this file... surely its possible... I haven't got the file on my local machine.

If you did not purge or destroy the file, it still should be in the database. To retrieve it, select the parent project of the file, right click and select Properties->Deleted items. Your file should be listed there you can delete it from that dialogue.
