Operation Failed - $/

Does this affect all SourceOffSite users?

This doesn't seem to actually be a permissions problem. If access to the data directory is denied, you would think that it would be denied for all operations.

Have you run Analyze lately on the VSS database? Perhaps there is some minor database corruption that's causing this behavior.

I've only had it reported by one user, but I was able to duplicate it myself, so it seems consistent.

We run ANALYZE.EXE every weekend.

Also, the problem doesn't occur when using VSS client, only SOS.
