User can't connect to SourceOffSite (4.2, no encryption)

Can you check your SOS server log for errors around that same time? What does it have listed for that time period?
What OS is the user on?
Is the user running a firewall on his OS? Often those will close ports and the port for SOS needs to remain open. Try turning off the firewall to see what happens.
Are you using the secure port or unsecure port for connecting? If using the secure port, is the unsecure port still configured so that one can be tried?

That is the server log on Verbose. It looks to be identical to this issue: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=584& but there is no resolve posted there. I have a firewall on the server, and I have enabled 8080 forwarding.Beth wrote:Can you check your SOS server log for errors around that same time? What does it have listed for that time period?

What happens if you try to connect to our demo server? (sos.sourceoffsite.com:8888. Log in as daffy, password duck.)
Also, what is that client's operating system?
We need to determine if the close connection is happening on the server side or the client side.
Can you send me the server log? You can either post it here or zip it up and send it to support at sourcegear.com (Attn: Beth) with a link to this forum post.
