shadow folders

Post by GrahamLabdon » Wed May 09, 2007 7:22 am

Hello
I am in the process of setting up Vault and am looking at Shadow Folders

I have been into the admin tool and configured a shadow folder

However I see nothing at the shadow folder location

What might I have done wrong?

Graham

Is the shadow folder located on the same machine or a different machine? Was the folder you are using for that empty?

Can you send me your Vault server log? I only need the portion from when you started configuring your shadow folders. You can either post it here or zip it up and email it to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) and include a link to this post.

By default, the Vault Server log file is located in %WINDIR%\Temp\sgvault\sgvault.log. Sometimes, it is helpful to place your Vault server in Debug logging mode. You may do this in the Vault Admin Tool, on the Server Options tab. After you change the log level, you will need to restart the IIS service by choosing Start->Run... and typing iisreset and hitting OK. Once IIS has been restarted, you will see more verbose log messages.
