Unable to connect to server

Post by Rufus » Mon Apr 16, 2007 2:55 am

Hi I've just reinstalled my client and am now unable to connect to the vault server. I can http directly to the vaultservice asmx page and I am using a valid username and password. I'm new to this so please understand I might be missing the obvious.
Cheers

WHat version of Vault are you using?

What error message do you get when you try to connect?

Are other users having a problem connecting?

Unable to connect to server

I'm using 3.5.1
What I didn't realise is the vault and proxy servers ip address had been changed! But I thought this should be ok anyway. In the client network settings I have the option to use the default proxy server. I'm sure previously the name and port of this server would automatically be listed next to the opton. Now it simply states 'No system proxy specified'.

I think we may have some general network problems and my install and setup is fine, but other users are connecting, if a little slowly.

Sorry to be a pain no need to reply if you think this is not a sourcegear issue.
Many Thanks.

Vault gets the default proxy settings from Internet Explorer, so check in IE under Tools->Internet Options->Connections->Lan Settings, to see what's selected there. You might want to change auto-detect to a manual setting.
