Setting Working Folder

Post by btd » Wed Apr 11, 2007 6:08 am

I launch Vault, choose my repository and then right click it and choose "set Working Folder" to a location on my C Drive. I also check the the box, Force all sub-folders to use inherited working folder.

But when I reopen Vault a second time, and choose the same repository, my Working Folder in top right bar of Vault is empty.

How do I set my working folder?

Thanks

Are you using Vault integrated with Visual Studio? If so, then the working folders actually need to be set in Visual Studio.

Yes I am using Vault integrated with VS.NET.

Can you help me "Set the working folder" from within VS.net 2005? As I can't figure it out.

If you have opened your project in VS, there is a path during the opening dialogs. If you didn't perform an "open from source control" but instead opened the project from disk and then added it to source control, then your working folder is actually wherever it is currently at on disk. Just so you know ahead of time. Basically, your VS working folder is wherever you have saved the files.
