Sometime when I want to check out a file, there is a problem that another file is checked out. So I have to check out all the files in that folder to edit the file I want.
And I feel a little inconvenient that I can't select several foldes to get the latest version in SOS.

Are you using SOS integrated with Visual Studio? If so, what version of VS are you using?
Is the file you want to check out exclusively checked out?
On the last part, I can take a feature request.

Yes, VS2005.
At first, I remove the readonly attribute of the file and change the file. After changing, I want to check out the file without getting local copy, another file is checked out.

Can you check and see if VSS is set to allow multiple check-outs? That would be in the VSS Administrator tool under Tools - Options and will be the first option on the General tab. If it's not set to allow that in VSS, then SOS isn't going to allow it either.

If VSS does not allow multiple checkouts, then only one user can check out a file at one time. If you enable multiple checkouts, then two users can checkout the same file.
