Can I identify SourcOffSite server version remotely?

I'd like to be able to check what version of SourceOffSite server I am connecting to remotely.

This way I can make sure that I always use the correct client software, without having to track down an administrator in a datacentre far far away

There's no way to check from the SOS Client. You'd need access to the SOS Server Manager or the SOS Server log.txt file to determine the Server version.
