sos client hangs while connecting to the server

sos client not working in reagdrs to having more than one project open. . I have trouble when I have 2 projects open or VS open and then try to connect via the Client software. the client software gets hanged and gets crashed. i tried resetting the thread mode = 'both'. and the ssapi.dll version is 6.0.98.48. please help me to fix this issue asap.

If your SOS Server Service hangs or crashes and needs to be restarted in order for users to be able to log in again, you may be experiencing a concurrency crash due to a bug in the Visual SourceSafe Automation Component.

For VSS 6.0d is installed on the SOS Server machine, see this post for a registry edit that works around the bug:
