I will be applying the same series of upgrades (from Vault 2.06 to 3.5). The only difference being that we are still on SQL Server 2000. Have you posted anywhere or do you have available the series of upgrades and steps to make this transition successful?

Did you already try upgrading to Vault 3.5 directly? The Vault 3.5 installer should be able to upgrade a 2.0.6 database. If there are problems, it's usually due to inconsistencies in the 2.0.6 database, which need to be dealt with on an individual basis.

So first try upgrading directly (backup your 2.0.6 database first!). If you do get errors, report back.

Thank you, will do. (Although it may be towards the end of the month.)

I'm getting this same error (-1280) trying to upgrade from 3.5.2 to the latest version - any ideas why?

Could you email us your Vault install log? Vault_install.log can often be found in %username%/local settings/temp. Send it to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Linda) with a link to this forum thread.
