Hi,
I have recently replaced a developer at my company. in that he had installed source gear vault on one of our servers. Im in the process of migrating the vault across to a different server. since he has left he didnt bother to leave the password for the vault. my question is.... I imagine the passwords are hashed in SQL server. is there any way of gaining access to the vault even though I dont have the password... ? Ive tried creating a new account in sql server but it doesnt work....
any assistance greatly appreciated.
thanks

Do you need to reset the Admin password?
You would need to uninstall Vault, keeping the database, then reinstall. During the reinstall, you can set a new Admin password.
If this is just a user account, not Admin, you can log into Vault with the Vault Admin Tool and change the user's password in the User's tab by selecting the username, then Edit User.
