I am running Vista 64bit RTM and am haivng an issue with the client. The client installs and runs fine, but it breaks Internet Explorer. When the client is installed, the search bar does not work, right-click open in new windows and open in new tab both cause the browser to hang and favorites stopped working. When I uinstall the client, everything goes back to normal and works fine. I know Vista is not supported, but any ideas what is going on?
I can't really wait two months for the Vista bits. Is there a way to install the VSS plugin without the client? That is really all I need.
Also, I am a gold level customer (I think) but I don't know how to get access to the gold forums.
Vista issue with Vault Client

Vault isn't supported on Vista or on 64-bit OS's yet, so you've hit a double-whammy.
We're in the process of testing Vault on Vista, but won't be able to provide full support until we're done.
It's not possible to install just the source control integration, as it needs the client libraries, etc.
Not sure why Vault client is messing up IE. We've had a few reports in the past of problems with IE when *uninstalling* Vault. It something to do with registry keys pointing to the wrong location for the Urlmon.dll file. Perhaps something like this is happening with Vault and IE 7:

Well, here's how I made it work. I install the client, copied out the registry settings for the source control integration in VS, copied the entire install directory to a different location, uninstalled the product, and manually created the registry entries and the program files directory. Funny enough, everything works, including the standalone client.
Anyway, I guess just a heads up for you guys to look at this when you are working on the Vista release to make sure that IE is not affected.
