downloaded gz invalid?

Post by steve.cohan » Thu Jan 25, 2007 2:26 pm

I am unable to uncompress either of the SoS Solaris clients I have downloaded. gunzip (ver. 1.2.4) reports "not in gzip format". Winzip 9.0 SR-1 (run under windows obviously) reports "Invalid archive directory".

We had a report of this from another user.

We found that Internet Explorer was gunzipping the
archive after downloading (without changing the file extension).

So it's already unzipped if you downloaded with IE. Or you can try downloading with FireFox.

Thanks Linda. It was indeed already uncompressed. I was able to install the package. Moving on to installing gtk.
