Some Directories are not visible

Post by dlowther » Tue Jan 16, 2007 2:52 pm

I am accessing a vault server and am able to login and view several directories in the repository. However, some directories are not visible. Another client of the same vault server has opened the vault client with my username and password and can see the directories that I cannot.

What could be causing this?

This issue is resolved.

I tried several things:
-Complete removal and reinstall
-Version upgrade (3.1.9)
-Clearing out registry after uninstall

Finally, attaching to the vault server using the command line tool and requesting one of the missing folders via LISTFOLDER returned results - and afterwards the vault client showed the missing directories.

If anyone understands this please let me know.

The first thing I would have pointed to was the fact the the client and server versions didn't match. Something strange could have happened to the cache as well.

And is there some way to clear the cache?

Here's a link that will tell you more than you probably ever wanted to know: Clear Client Side Cache

I always just grab everything at the Vault_1 folder and delete it rather than being picky, but if the projects are extremely huge, it could take a bit to rebuild the cache.
