Client crash getting project by label

Post by dfrancescon » Thu Nov 30, 2006 5:30 am

I'm using SOS 4.1 on both server and client and getting a client crash when I try to get some project by label. Already did any possible analyze and fix of the VSS database: no errors reported.

It works fine if I get by label single files instead of entire project.
Also: anything works well using MS VSS interface instead of SOS.
Any idea?
Thanks

If the project is extremely large, it could be losing it's connection in the middle. Do you have the keep alive option set in the the client, and the time out of idle connections on the server side turned off?

Hi Beth,

the project is not particularly large and I already have keep-alive set on the client and timeout idle turned off on the server.
Thanks for further hints.

You can send your server log to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) and reference this post if you want.

First, increase the logging to verbose and add method. Instructions are here: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=463. Then recreate the scenario so that data is captured. SourceOffSite log file (log.txt) is located on the machine where the SOS server resides in this path C:\Program Files\SourceOffSite Server.
